Im Lauf der Woche werden von nun ausgewählte Bilder der gestrigen Eisenhüttenstadt-Wanderung hier erscheinen. Den Auftakt macht ein Schattenbild aus der Fotosammlung e.i.h.ü.stiques, der in kleiner Frühherbstmelancholie das zeigt, was man sieht, wenn Ernst Sauers Bronzeplastik "Mutter und Kind" (eine weitere Arbeit von Ernst Sauer aus dem Eisenhüttenstädter Stadtbild wird hier vorgestellt) im besten Licht steht, der Blick aber am Objekt selbst vorbeigeht.
 "Ei, es will Abend werden, und die Schatten werden groß" (Jeremia 6.4.) Zitate aus der lutherübersetzten Bibel sind im Gartenfließ der ersten sozialistischen Stadt auf deutschem Boden vielleicht nicht so oft zu hören. Und auch wir, bar jedes religiösen Hintergrunds, pflücken uns die Zitate wie einst der Fuchs die Trauben von den Bäumen und zwar so, wie wir denken, dass sie passen. Da der teutsche Volksmund dies tut, seit die übersetzte heilige Schrift verfügbar war, können wir darin auch nichts frevelhaftes entdecken. Wohl aber, dass zu unserer Stadtführung auch der vor dem stehende Satz passt, wie nur ein Satz passen kann: "Wohlauf, laßt uns hinaufziehen, weil es noch hoch Tag ist!" Das taten wir dann auch in kleiner Erkundungsgruppe und als die Schatten so lang waren, dass man die besten Fotografien hätte anfertigen können, waren die meisten Akkus leer, die Speicherkarten voll und die Filme abgespult. ... Den Satz vor dem Satz haben wir allerdings als Freunde der Friedfertigkeit ignoriert. Kommentare
